Multiple NRL clubs to move for Warrington Wolves star

Rodrick Tai is one of the skilful players that Warrington Wolves have signed ahead of the 2024 season.

Warrington Wolves star Rodrick Tai is set to have a big decision to make at some stage in the 2024 campaign.

The Papua New Guinea centre has joined Warrington as Sam Burgess’ first signing as Head Coach and has taken on the number 14 shirt in 2024.

He has only signed a short term deal but after agreeing the deal, The Dolphins in the NRL moved for the centre and remain interested in bringing Tai to the NRL in 2024.

But they might not be the only NRL club interested in Tai. This is because a Papua New Guinea team are set to be added to the league as their 18th team in 2025. If this happens, the club are set to move for Tai in an offer that would be very hard to turn down.

This leaves the Wolves in an interesting situation at the time. Despite this, the Wolves have been focused on giving back.

The Warrington Wolves first team squad were out and about in our community in December helping to spread the festive cheer around the town.

The lads visited a range of community hotspots, hubs, services, clubs and schools across the town, helping out vulnerable people ahead of Christmas.

Halliwell Jones kindly supplied the lads with MINI and BMW vehicles to help get them around town from place to place where they began the day by collecting food, toy and clothes donations which were kindly offered up by the club’s commercial partners. These were then gifted at each community group as well as a big donation to Warrington Foodbank – vital at this time of year.

The team visited Warrington Hospital, St Rocco’s Hospice, Warrington Animal Welfare centre, Warrington Youth Zone, Radley Common Luncheon club, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, Green Lane community school, Three Elms care home, Willow Green school and Room at the Inn amongst others.

The club are hoping to deliver the community a successful side in 2024 under Sam Burgess. They are truly an enigma with Brian Carney suggesting that the former Bradford Bulls star could be the Pep Guardiola of rugby league only being young for a head coach.
