Morgan Knowles limps off on England duty

Morgan Knowles has limped off during England duty.

The St Helens forward walked off awkwardly as the game approached the half-hour following a tackle, with St Helens hoping that it will not be too serious.

Knowles switched his allegiance from Wales to England back in 2020 after hearing that he would be in new England boss Shaun Wane’s thoughts.

The 24-year-old has made 136 appearances for St Helens since coming through at scholarship level, but as a 16-year-old, Knowles made a huge commitment to travel down from Cumbria each week.

Knowles earned a spot in the Super League Dream Teams in 2019, 2020 and 2021 to further emphasise his importance to this Saints outfit, even after missing the start of the season just gone with injury.

St Helens won the Super League Grand Final for the third time in a row as head coach Kristian Woolf earned his second successive victory in the showpiece event.
