With Laterell Mitchell off contract on November 1st and the Sydney Roosters reportedly targeting the likes of Jai Arrow and David Fifita Jr. there are rumblings that the star centre’s time at the Roosters could be coming to an end, when we think about it though, is this really the case?
Unless another club offers him an absolutely monster deal, Latrell Mitchell will be a Sydney Roosters from 2021 and beyond, even if the Roosters sign Jai Arrow and/or David Fifita Jr.
Lets look at the other names the Roosters could lose to get the funds they need.
Zane Tetevano, Jared Waerea Hargreaves and Jake Friend are all rumoured to be leaving the club, possibly this season.
There’s also always the talks that Angus Crichton could be off to pastures new, Mitchell Aubusson is likely to retire after next season and Joseph Manu will be seeing what he’s worth on the open market.
A number of those players create a huge loss, however the Roosters will then likely have enough money to sign Arrow and Fifita, whilst retaining Latrell Mitchell.
