Minichello comments on Connor after public spat

Mark Minichello says Jake Connor has “areas to work on” following Thursday night’s 44-12 loss away to Castleford.

Connor was sin binned by referee Ben Thaler in the 77th minute of the game for dissent and was seen arguing with veteran Minichello as he left the field.

The 24-year-old continued to exchange words with members of the Hull and Castleford benches before walking off down the tunnel.

Jake Connor was sin-binned for mouthing off at referee Ben Thaler.

Following their disagreement Minichello, who could be set to play the final game of his career this week, has had his say on the talented utility back.

“He’s got to be more consistent,” Minichiello told Hull Live. “I don’t really want to say too much.

“He’s a very talented kid but there’s lots of areas that he can work on to be a better player.”
