Warrington Wolves are set for a major overhaul ahead of the 2023 Super League season as head coach Daryl Powell tries to stamp his own authority on his new side.
The likes of Josh Charnley have already been confirmed to be leaving, whilst stalwart Mike Cooper has been linked with a move to Huddersfield Giants.
And, Cooper talked to Sky Sports following last night’s hearty defeat to St Helens – a game in which they lost narrowly, 12-10.
“I don’t know anything yet. The speculation is just for the media,” he told Sky Sports.
“I’ve always been a proud Warringtonian – I give my heart and soul for this club every week and I try my best.
“It’s down to the club to announce – Sometimes these things get taken out of your hands and that’s just the way it is.
“I’ll give my all for this club but it’s down to them to announce anything.”
Powell looks to be one of the busiest coaches in the transfer market heading into 2023 with the likes of Wests Tigers forward Thomas Mikaele, Canterbury Bulldogs duo Matt Dufty and Paul Vaughan and Catalans Dragons pair Gil Dudson and Sam Kasiano all rumoured to be on the former Castleford Tigers boss’ wishlist.
