Melbourne star rejects Super League club

Rugby League mistake

Melbourne’s Ryley Jacks has apparently turned down an offer from Salford to join Super League.

Ata Hingano has signed on the dotted line for the Lancashire club, but Jacks was also interesting the Red Devils.

The halfback has made 35 appearances for the Storm in two spells, with a one-year hiatus at the Gold Coast Titans in 2019 sandwiched in-between.

Jacks – a Canadian international capped twice by his nation – is 29 years old and was set to replace the outgoing Tui Lolohea, who is believed to be joining Huddersfield.

Salford have won just twice in Super League this season, overcoming Huddersfield 9-8 in last weekend’s round of fixtures.
