Melbourne centre attracting Super League interest

Out-of-favour Cheyse Blair is on the radar of a number of Super League clubs according to League Weekly.

Melbourne’s 27-year-old centre has yet to feature in the NRL this season and could be granted an early release from his contract.

Castleford are reported to be one of the interested parties with Director of Rugby Jon Wells stating last week that the club are looking to sign an outside back.

Blair is a former Australian Schoolboy and played for Parramatta Eels and Manly Sea Eagles prior to signing for Melbourne in 2016.

He has scored 18 tries in 38 games for the Storm but missed out on being part of the 2017 Premiership-winning team due to injury.

Overall, Blair has 82 NRL appearances and a solitary Country NSW cap to his name.
