Catalans Dragons Head Coach Steve McNamara has urged his side to keep calm following their 58-0 trouncing over Wakefield Trinity.
The Dragons climbed to the top of the Betfred Super League with the win but McNamara has issued a warning to his players to not show any complacency going forward.
He said, “We are not getting carried away at this moment in time.
“I am pleased with how we played. I had to make a couple of changes to the team this week.
“Israel (Folau) stayed behind due to personal reasons but I was impressed by how David Mead slotted back in to the team.
“I thought both Sam Tomkins and Tom Davies were tremendous.
“Sam looks like he has not been away from the game. He was unplayable today.
“Tom has had a tough time with injury but scoring a hat-trick today was fantastic and I am pleased for him.
“This week was not easy. After what happened at Hull, we had to change our preparation but a testament to the lads with how they adapted to the circumstances.
“I thought it was a professional performance but we have to keep it up if we want to challenge for honours at the end of the season.”
