McNamara: Dragons showed togetherness

Catalans Dragons Head Coach Steve McNamara has praised his side’s togetherness following their 40-14 win over Castleford Tigers on Saturday.

The Dragons were beaten 34-6 by St Helens last Sunday, and questions were asked about the Dragons and how they would cope with a quicker game.

McNamara was satisfied with the response.

He said: “We asked those questions, we looked at aspects of our game. But as a team, we were completely together this week.

“Right from the start, we were together as a team for the minutes silence, and the 13 seconds for Black Lives Matter. We showed our respects and the team showed how together they are on that.

“There was major questions asked of us last week, more by ourselves. We were disappointed by that, and we were hurt that, but it wasn’t the end of the world. We learned from it, and we will go again next week.”
