Matt Peet makes shock stand-off decision against St Helens

Easter is approaching and thus we are in one of the most exciting and enjoyable rounds of Super League action.

That is because it is Rivals Round where every game is shown live on Sky Sports as the biggest games in the league take place.

Things of course peak today on Good Friday with the traditional derbies.

This concludes with a meeting between last year’s top two and the reigning Challenge Cup holders and Super League Champions as Wigan Warriors and St Helens do battle.

The original derby and the game many people believe this could be the Grand Final in waiting.

The team news is now in and Matt Peet has made a shocking decision naming Joe Shorrocks at stand-off instead of Sam Powell who starts at nine.

Liam Marshall is fit enough to return and joins Abbas Miski on the wings with Toby King and Jake Wardle in the centres.

Bevan French of course starts at fullback with Jai Field injured.

Cade Cust doesn’t feature either whilst Willie Isa is banned.

As for St Helens Sione Mata’utia is back in the side and in the backrow.

Agnatius Paasi starts at prop in place of the injured Alex Walmsley.

Young George Delaney keeps his spot on the bench.
