Manly Sea Eagles reportedly backflip on pride jersey

Manly Sea Eagles 2022 season fell apart at the end of the season and many believe the pride jersey controversy was at the heart of it.
The club produced a jersey with rainbow detailing on it to celebrate “everyone in league” but seven players refused to play in the shirt which culminated in the likes of ex-Leeds Rhinos James Segeyaro getting a crack in the first team.
However, this incident sparked a downward spiral with the Sea Eagles surprisingly missing out on the play-offs.
Since, the Sea Eagles have moved on to a new coach in Anthony Seibold who is joined by former Cronulla Sharks coach Shaun Flanagan.
Despite all of this, the Sea Eagles management was initially praised for sticking to the idea despite the seven players.
Since the end of the season the so called Manly seven has doubled down on their stance themselves saying to the media that they wouldn’t wear the shirt in 2023.
However, Manly were still set to go ahead with the jersey in the upcoming season but now it’s being reported that they’re set to backflip on the decision.
Though the Daily Mail are reporting that now the situation is undecided on the matter, it is a long way back from their initial stance that they would indeed go ahead with the jersey in 2023.
