Super League Round 15 Man of Steel points revealed

Matt Dufty scores a try.for Warrington Wolves in a Super League game against Hull KR.

Following Round 15 of Super League action, the latest Man of Steel points have been awarded.

So far, Marc Sneyd has topped the charts for almost the entire campaign, while Matt Moylan, Mikey Lewis and Nene Macdonald are close behind.

Here are the latest players to be awarded points, and the current leaderboard.

Castleford Tigers v Hull KR

The round’s action kicked off at Wheldon Road and the spirited Tigers came close to providing the shock of the season, eventually going down 13-12 thanks to Jez Litten’s boot.

He gets maximum points, while Cain Robb’s terrific season continues as he gets two points, while try scorer and assister Rowan Milnes gets one.

Wigan Warriors v London Broncos

Wigan Warriors comfortably defeated London Broncos 36-0 at the Brick Community Stadium in a six try display.

Jack Farrimond kicked all six, and scored two himself, meaning he scored 20 points – and has been rewarded with three Man of Steel points. Bevan French and try-scorer Jake Wardle picked up the remaining points.

Leeds Rhinos v Leigh Leopards

An emotional night followed on Friday, with Leeds Rhinos using their game against Leigh Leopards, which fell on MND Awareness Day, to honour the life of Rob Burrow. In this one, Brodie Croft channelled his emotion to provide a special performance in an 18-10 victory.

He took three very deserved points, while Matt Moylan, who was excellent even in defeat, took two. The final point went to Leeds full-back Lachie Miller.

Hull FC v Warrington Wolves

Warrington Wolves just about took the win over struggling Hull FC thanks to the brilliance of Matt Dufty, who scored a late, spectacular try to make the final score 24-18 – despite controversy over a missed knock-on.

Dufty, as expected, is awarded maximum points, while half-back George Williams also collects two. However, Hull FC are represented through youngster Denive Balmforth, who scored, assisted and made 91 metres in just six carries.

Catalans Dragons v Huddersfield Giants

Catalans Dragons, despite being 22-0 up at the break, were left sweating in the second half before holding on to win 22-18 against Huddersfield Giants.

Catalans skipper Ben García gets three points, but Luke Yates, whose try for Huddersfield got them within a try of the Dragons, gets two. Matt Ikuvalu scoops the final one.

Salford Red Devils v St Helens

The final game of the round was full of drama, as Salford Red Devils completed their league double over St Helens with a late 20-18 win.

Joe Mellor’s huge effort earned him maximum points, Curtis Sironen took two while Nene Macdonald scoops one.
