Man of Steel odds revealed for the 2022 Super League season

Paul McShane holds the Man of Steel award

The Man of Steel betting odds have been revealed with perhaps a surprise or two in there.

Sam Tomkins scooped up the prestigious individual trophy in 2021 with some stellar displays shooting the Catalans Dragons to the top of the table and into the Super League Grand Final.

Tomkins, however, is 33/1 to repeat that feat in 2022, with Wigan Warriors’ new signing Cade Cust taking the reins at 12/1.

Cust has just penned a two-year deal at the DW Stadium, with the option of a third, and it seems the rugby league fraternity has got on board with that signing as Wigan head coach Matty Peet looks to resurrect a fallen Warriors side.

New Catalans Dragons signing Mitchell Pearce is also 12/1, with Cust’s Wigan teammate Bevan French named at 16/1.

Hull FC’s main man Jake Connor is at 16/1 as well, with four stars at 20/1 including Leeds Rhinos’ new signing Aidan Sezer, Warrington Wolves halfback George Williams, new St Helens fullback Jack Welsby and his predecessor who is now at Hull KR, Lachlan Coote.

Four Super League players are also on at 25/1, with new Salford halfback Brodie Croft there as well as Catalans’ Arthur Mourgue, Saints’ Lewis Dodd and 2020 winner and Castleford lynchpin Paul McShane.

Here is the list in full*:
