Following the latest round of Betfred Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:
Matthew Costello (Salford) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Rhyse Martin (Leeds) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Tommy Makinson (St Helens) – Grade C High Tackle – 3 Match Penalty Notice
The three-match ban handed to Makinson means he will miss the Wigan derby game.
The winger was found guilty of a ‘reckless’ charge for a hit on Castleford’s Niall Evalds late on in Saints’ defeat.
It was the first time the Tigers had beaten Saints away for 31 years, with Greg Eden’s interception try sealing the deal in the 78th minute.
