The new year is just days away and with it will come a new Super League season just seven weeks into the beginning of the latest chapter of human history.
A new year is a time when everyone looks to make a new start and make a change as they begin a new year.
This is why we get New Year’s Resolutions every year from so many people.
This desire for a new start shouldn’t be restricted to people though and could very well apply to Super League clubs.
So, what should Salford Red Devils resolution be going into 2023?
In 2022, the Red Devils were back in the mix for Grand Final glory on the back of an amazing end to the season.
After reaching the Grand Final in 2019 and Challenge Cup Final in 2020, they were back in the mix with the league’s biggest clubs in 2022 after a disappointing 2021.
Unlike in previous seasons, the Red Devils gave kept their star players after the success in 2022 and have added further quality in the likes of Sam Stone from Leigh Leopards.
Thus, in 2023, the Red Devils have to kick on and even try and win a major trophy ending a long wait for silverware and making good on the clear potential that has developed at the club over the last five years or so.
