Ahead of Super League setting foot on Everton for the 2026 Magic Weekend, we have taken a look at the record books to see which current players are leading in some key statistics.
Across 18 different events and six different venues, the two-day festival of rugby league has become a staple of the calendar, and after its future was put in jeopardy at the end of last season, over 70,000 ticket sales suggest that fans want the event to stay.
From tries and appearances to wins and losses, we have skimmed through the archives to see which active players sit top of the respective stat lists.
Former Huddersfield Giants half-back and ex-Man of Steel Danny Brough leads the all-time Magic points scoring, with 127. He is actually the only player to score over 100 points at the event, with former Warrington man Stefan Ratchford in second with 89.
The leader for all-time appearances is James Roby, though one active player is level with him in first place, with the pair both playing in 15 of the 18 Magic events. Roby also has the most wins at the event with nine, joint-top alongisde Michael McIlorum and Oliver Holmes.
In terms of coaches, Brian McDermott has overseen the most Magic games with 12, though current Wakefield Trinity boss Daryl Powell and future Hull FC head coach Steve McNamara sit closely behind on 11.
Two current head coaches, Andy Last and Sylvain Houles, are 1/1 at the event, whilst John Cartwright, Kurt Haggerty and Mark Applegarth are all 0/1 in their coaching careers.
