Luke Thompson’s career has seemingly taken a new twist as he was pictured training with the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Thompson’s future has been one of the most talked about news items in recent months with an NRL club reportedly putting a huge big in for his services in recent weeks.

That club was the Wests Tigers, according to zerotackle, with the former St Helens man being tipped to leave Canterbury Bulldogs for most of the off-season.

The Daily Telegraph had previously reported that Thompson continues to be shopped around – in both hemispheres – in a bid to get his lucrative contract off of the Bulldogs’ pay list.

The Englishman has been hitting the headlines following his initial refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccination, with NRL clubs calling for all their players to be vaccinated in order to play.

The Bulldogs’ salary cap looks almighty close to the limit following the transfer of new signing Viliame Kikau who will be on a reported $800,000 a year when his contract starts in 2023.

But, Thompson is still fulfilling his own part of the bargain, looking very much the part in Canterbury’s pre-season training.
