Luke Gale heading for independent tribunal

Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors

Luke Gale is set to appeal his two-match ban at tonight’s independent tribunal.

It comes after the Leeds halfback was charged with a Grade B ‘Deliberate or reckless physical contact with a match official.’

Gale has faced a tough few months, being stripped of the captaincy with speculation mounting that he could be facing the exit at Headingley after the Rhinos confirmed the signing of Blake Austin.

Austin, 30, has signed a one-year deal to likely partner Aidan Sezer in the halves from next year.
