London Broncos win Twitter during match against Wakefield

It wasn’t just on the pitch London Broncos were making the headlines today!

The club’s official Twitter account was also championed thanks to some brilliant try celebration GIFs.

Eddie Battye’s try five minutes before half-time was the most talked about moment on the social media platform, as the forward was seen eating a meal deal sandwich faster than the average man.

Battye’s try put the Broncos in front for the first time against Wakefield on their return to Super League and they never looked back from this point.

This was followed a few minutes later by Matty Fozard performing his own intense version of the Katy Perry swish after his four-pointer but the hosts 26-18 up at half-time.

Man of the Match Battye went over for another try in the second half as Danny Ward’s men went on to win the game comfortably 42-24 at Trailfinders Sports Ground.

The Broncos return to the top flight might now be viewed differently by many as the relegation favourites started with a bang on the pitch and on social media!
