London Broncos snap up former academy player

London Broncos have signed former academy player Jordan Williams from London Skolars.

The 22-year-old left the Broncos’ academy in 2016 and had a very brief spell with Oxford.

He joined the Skolars the following year and has gone on to make 43 appearances for the League 1 club, scoring 12 tries.

He will be reunited with ex-academy teammate Tuoyo Egodo, who has also re-joined the Broncos after three years at Castleford.

“I am honoured to be a part of the London Broncos First Team squad this year, having come up through the Academy youth system a few years back, said Williams. I am very excited to dig in with the boys this pre-season and the 2020 playing season in order to help the club achieve the goal of returning to the Super League.

“Having spoken to Danny Ward during the off season, I am grateful for the opportunity he has given me and am eagerly anticipating what we can do in this coming year.”

Broncos head coach Danny Ward added: “We are very pleased to have Jordan back at the club, having previously come through our academy system.

If we’d of had a reserves side at the time we would of kept Jordan at the Broncos. He has gone away to Skolars, worked hard and been one of their most consultant performers over the last 2 years.”
