London Broncos have had a tough return back to the Super League which was to be expected given their low player cost base.
But this hasn’t stopped a number of their key players impressing other sides in the top tier.
And the latest name to have caught the eye of the top end of the Super League is Oli Leyland.
The halfback has led the way at moments for the Broncos of late, especially in the recent win over Catalans Dragons.
The Warrington Guardian are now reporting that Warrington Wolves are ‘closing in on the signing’ of Leyland.
The report states: “It is Warrington who appear to lead the chase for his signature, with a deal believed to be edging closer to completion.”
Josh Drinkwater is expected to depart Warrington at the end of 2025 and Leyland could compete for the chance to play alongside superstar half George Williams.
Leyland has 12 try assists this term for London and his brother, Bill, has already been tapped up and signed by Hull KR for next season, with the Broncos expected to be back in the Championship.

Over the years northern clubs, have taken young talented players from London Broncos, you can name a full squad over the years, many became Internationals, and quite a few, No Fee Paid! Proof that IMG is completely USELESS when it comes to understanding Rugby League, and we are paying £750,000 and a mindblowing agreed Ten Year Contract. Yes, talented players want to develop their careers, like Olly & his Brother Billy, I am so pleased for them, but a SUBSTANTIAL FEE SHOULD BE PAID! to ensure we recruit young talent in the South!
