London bring in Toulouse star

London Broncos have strengthened their pack ahead of 2020 with the signing of Toulouse back rower Rhys Curran.

The 30-year-old has signed a two-year deal after spending the past eight years in France.

After starting out in the Wests Tigers academy system in Australia, Curran made the move to Villeneuve, playing 40 games and scoring 15 tries.

He then made the move to Toulouse, becoming one of their key forwards, scoring 52 tries in 95 appearances.

Rhys Curran becomes London’s sixth new signing for next season.

He has also picked up three caps for France after becoming eligible through residency.

“I am really looking forward to getting over and meeting everybody now and getting stuck in to pre season training with the boys,” he said. “I have spoken to Will Barthau and Ben Evans about London and both have said what a professional club it is with a great bunch of boys.”

“After meeting Danny Ward and playing against London over the last few years it has made me really excited about working with everyone at the club. ”

Broncos head coach Danny Ward added: “Rhys has been one of the standout back rowers in the comp for the last few years and we are looking forward to him joining the Broncos.”
