London 7/4 to pull off the great escape

Coach Danny Ward has done a tremendous job this year and a win at Wakefield in Friday night rugby would be enough to keep them in Super League and leave one of 3 clubs facing relegation on Friday 13th .

Super League sponsors Betfred make the Broncos 2/1 to win the game in 80 minutes , you can get around 7/4 for them to win including extra point , and i think they can do it . Trinity are on a terrible run , losing 7 of their last 8 , as a once battle for the top 5 has become a last day battle to save the drop .

Results elsewhere could still save Wakefield if they lose this , you can get 10/1 that they finish bottom , but I don’t see odds of around 1/2 being value for a side on such a poor run to win the game . Especially as the Broncos must be full of adrenaline after the amazing last gasp win at Rovers last week which has given them a real chance of staying up . London are also well used to this scenario given the incredible win in Toronto last October which won them  promotion and I think they can scrape a win in a very tense game here .

It’s 10/1 for Wakefield to be relegated and I’d be worried , I expect Huddersfield to comfortably land odds of around 2/5 to beat Catalans , the Dragons are on a run almost as bad as Wakefield . The French side have lost at home to both London and Rovers in the past 2 weeks .

The Giants are 16/1 to finish bottom , but I think they should be able to save themselves , if there’s one side you want to play now it’s the disinterested Catalans .  The side in immediate danger if London pull off a shock at Belle Vue is Hull KR , who are 9/4 to finish bottom and have a tough test at in form Salford . The Red Devils are on an incredible run of 7 straight wins as they have booked a place in the play offs , but Rovers pulled off a shock at Magic against Ian Watson’s side and I wouldn’t be surprised if they landed odds of around 9/4 to pull off another shock at the AJ Bell . It’s 2/5 for a home win , and despite the great run Salford are on I just think the Robins can keep their destiny in their own hands and not rely on a helping hand from Wakefield . Watson though has done a tremendous job with the Red Devils and will surely compete with Ward for Coach of the year honours .

So a London , Rovers and Huddersfield treble would see Wakefield relegated and that is more than possible .

Play offs start next week with Wigan hosting either Warrington or Salford , as always please gamble responsibly .
