Warrington Wolves winger Tom Lineham has been given an eight match ban for a squirrel grip on Alex Foster.

Lineham was placed on report at the time, and was charged by the Match Review Panel. He tried to challenge the ruling, but was unsuccessful.

He will now miss the rest of Warrington’s Challenge Cup campaign.

In the night’s other case, Jordan Abdull has been given a two-match suspension for another squirrel grip on James Bentley.

He challenged the grading, and successfully got it downgraded to Grade C, which carried a two-match ban. Abdull was also fined £500.

Also, Kevin Naiqama successfully challenged his two-match ban for a high tackle. His Grade C High Tackle was downgraded to Grade A.
