“Like under 10s” – Jamie Jones-Buchanan slams this aspect of Warrington performance

Warrington Wolves found themselves up against it when they trailed 16-0 against Super League and World Champions St Helens tonight.
They ended the first half strongly with Sam Kasiano and Peter Mata’utia coming on and making a real difference.
On the back of this Matty Russell scored a lovely try and the Wolves were unfortunate not to get another try before the break but at the start of the second half Jon Bennison scored a sensational try that somewhat broke the Wolves and left them chasing the game and making errors and Jamie Jones-Buchanan was critical of this on Sky Sports.
He said: “I think they were panicking. I think sometimes you just need to take a tackle. Just take a tackle and bank it.”
In this period a brilliant run from Kasiano looked like it could yield a try for the Wolves but he was held short before being penalised for double movement.
Buchanan said this was like something you would see at under 10s:
“This one from Sam Kasiano is just under 10s though mate. When you get this desperate to get a try, you have to have discipline otherwise you are inviting pressure and then fatigue.”
The Wolves are still top but a win for Wigan Warriors on Sunday against bottom club Wakefield Trinity will see them move off the top of the table for the first time this season.
