Wigan Warriors captain Tommy Leuluai has praised teammates Bevan French and Jackson Hastings after winning the League Leaders Shield.
The Warriors won the Shield after a 19-6 victory over Huddersfield Giants, and Leuluai said it wasn’t their best performance.
He praised French and Hastings for their contributions in getting over the line.
When asked if playing with them makes his own job easier, he said: “It definitely makes it easier, of course. They have both been fantastic.
“Bevan has has all the highlights, but Jackson has been really consistent and has probably been our most consistent player all year.
“We weren’t at our best today. We were a little bit flat, which was to be expected after a big performance last week.
“We needed our big players to come up with big plays. Jackson certainly came up with that with the drop goal. He showed great composure.”
