Leon Pryce has been hailed recently – and rightly so – for how well he has fitted into the pundit role.

And, after two appearances on Premier Sports’ coverage of the Championship, the former St Helens halfback was given a shot on Channel 4’s coverage of Super League this afternoon as Leeds Rhinos took on Warrington Wolves.

It was a tense and nervy affair with Warrington eventually running out 22-20 winners, but with one red card and one yellow, Leeds were up against it from the 16th minute after debutant James Bentley was given his marching orders for a high tackle on Gareth Widdop.

At half-time, pundits Pryce, Danika Priim and Sam Tomkins were talking to presenter Adam Hills when Pryce was talking about a team talk in the sheds from Daryl Powell after an unsatisfactory first-half.

Unfortunately, the word ‘rollicking’ – which Pryce later tweeted was the word he said – sounds a lot like ‘bo***cking so when the words came out, the British rugby league public reacted in hilarious fashion.

Pryce himself came out with clarification: “I said rollocking – just to clear that up.”

Though the initial footage doesn’t really clear it up either!
