Leigh v Hull KR: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Winless Leigh host play-off hopefuls Hull KR this evening in what should be an interesting game. The Centurions have added some real depth to their squad in recent weeks with a number of astute signings as they look to find some late season form. Meanwhile, the Robins come into the game following back-to-back defeats at the hands of the table topping Catalans.

The Centurions will likely remain the same in the backs as they strive for some much needed continuity. That said, don’t be surprised to see the impressive Jack Logan drafted in after completing his move from Batley having recently starred for Hull FC on loan. In the pack, I can see Jordan Thompson moving into the front row following the suspension of Rob Butler whilst star player James Bell moves to loose forward. Ben Flower is also back in the squad and I think he’ll join the likes of Adam Sidlow on the bench. Meanwhile, I can see the impressive Josh Eaves featuring in the absence of Matty Wildie having joined on loan from St Helens.

As for Hull KR, their spine is now in need of a re-jig thanks to injuries to Adam Quinlan and Jordan Abdull. Will Tate will likely fill the void at fullback having been recalled from loan whilst I believe Rowan Milnes will be given the nod in the halves alongside Brad Takairangi after impressing earlier this season. However, Mikey Lewis is also an option. The young halfback showed impressive creativity on loan at York and could be trusted in the halves today. Tony Smith could even throw a curve ball at his opposite number and try to maximise Lewis’ creativity at fullback. The rest of the team will likely remain unchanged although Korbin Sims could return to the fold.
