Leigh v Hull FC: 21-man squads and injury update

Leigh and Hull FC have both announced their 21-man squads for Saturday afternoon’s round 10 clash at Leigh Sports Village (KO 3:00pm).

The Centurions came close to earning their first win of 2021 last week, leading in-form Catalans 18-6 before eventually falling to a 36-30 defeat.

The Black and Whites, meanwhile, returned to winning ways after their Challenge Cup semi-final disappointment with a 30-12 win over Castleford.

Leigh Centurions

The Centurions are able to name a full 21 this week, with Adam Sidlow returning after missing several weeks. Kurt Haggerty remains without Ben Flower (hamstring), Blake Wallace (head), Keanan Brand (hamstring), Jordan Thompson and Alex Gerrard.

21-man squad: 1 Ryan Brierley, 2 Matty Russell, 3 Iain Thornley, 4 Junior Sa’u, 5 Lewis Tierney, 7 Joe Mellor, 9 Liam Hood, 10 Mark Ioane, 11 Ben Hellewell, 13 James Bell, 14 Matty Wildie, 16 Nathaniel Peteru, 17 Jamie Ellis, 18 Matty Gee, 19 Nathan Mason, 20 Adam Sidlow, 21 Tyrone McCarthy, 22 Craig Mullen, 25 Brendan Elliot, 26 Nathan Peats, 30 Ben Reynolds.

Hull FC

FC are significantly depleted, with Carlos Tuimavave (hamstring), Cameron Scott (shoulder) and Josh Bowden (foot) all dropping out through injury and meaning Brett Hodgson is only able to name 18 players. Josh Griffin (achilles, suspended), Joe Cator (calf), Scott Taylor (foot), Masi Matongo (knee) and Jamie Shaul (ACL) are all still missing.
