Leigh v Catalans: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Two sides having contrasting seasons do battle today. Catalans’ recent form has fired them to the top of the league alongside Wigan and St Helens. Meanwhile, Leigh are still waiting for their first win. They did show positive signs in defeat against Wakefield and could carry that moment into this contest, however.

The Centurions will be without Anthony Gelling following his departure. However, the return of Ben Reynolds could enable a re-jig of the backs. Ryan Brierley could very well move back to fullback allowing Brendan Elliot to take Gelling’s place in the backline. However, Matty Russell will also be available meaning the Centurions have options in the backs. However, problems remain in the pack. Tyrone McCarthy could be asked to do a job at prop again.

Catalans are without Joel Tomkins after his altercation with Zak Hardaker last time out. But his absence will be lessened by the return of Jason Baitieri and Paul Seguier. Meanwhile, Fouad Yaha could return from injury but if impressive youngster Matthieu Laguerre is dropped to facilitate his return Laguerre can count himself very unlucky. Speaking of impressive youngsters, Arthur Mourgue will likely remain on the bench and offer real x-factor when brought on.
