Leigh Centurions have announced the signing of Welsh International forward Ben Flower for the 2021 season.
The vastly experienced 33-year-old from Cardiff has made 217 Super League appearances and has also represented Wales on 12 occasions.
He joins the Club from Wigan Warriors where he was a multiple Grand Final winner and his arrival bolsters an already formidable pack.
Flower said: “When I toured the stadium and facilities at Leigh I couldn’t believe it – the set-up is absolutely first class.
“I’m excited to be joining Leigh Centurions and helping the Club achieve their ambitions. Obviously the Club is looking to get into Super League and they’ve built a very exciting and capable squad.
“I have spoken to John Duffy a lot recently and I’m really impressed. He’s someone who builds a good relationship with his players and knows how to get the best out of them.
Head Coach Duffy added: “Ben is a player who has been there and done it all. He comes from a top team and we will be looking to him to lead from the front.
“We are building a formidable squad and I can’t wait to start working with them. In the meetings I’ve had with Ben, it’s clear to me that he’s a leader and someone the other players can look up to and also learn from.
“He’s a real tough competitor, a no-nonsense player and an excellent addition to what is already a very strong squad full of Super League, NRL and international experience.”
