Leigh Centurions are apparently interested in talking to former Gold Coast Titans coach John Cartwright.
That’s according to both The Mole and Rugby League In The Know – though just how in the know the latter is remains to be seen.
The Centurions have struggled in Super League under both ex-boss John Duffy as well as interim head coach Kurt Haggerty, with just two wins all season.
Owner Derek Beaumont hasn’t hidden his determination to ensure Leigh return to the big time as soon as possible.
Cartwright himself hasn’t had a head coaching role since leaving the Titans back in 2015, with assistant coaching roles at the North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos taking him to the present day.
Cartwright, uncle of current Parramatta Eels star Bryce, won 86 games from 186 over a seven-year period at the Gold Coast.
Mail from UK via @rugbyleagueitk that @LeighCenturions are talking to former @GCTitans coach John Cartwright.
