Leigh promise further signings once visas and paperwork are complete

Leigh may be dropping back down to the Championship next year, but they appear to be doing some stellar business ahead of 2022.

With Grand Finalist Joel Tomkins and Huddersfield forward Joe Wardle already signed up for next season, the Centurions have already made some significant signings and with Chris Chester at the club and spearheading recruitment, they look set to make a few more eye-catching acquisitions.

That’s according to the club’s official Twitter page anyway who today stated that they were simply waiting on paperwork and visa clearance before they can announce their next signings as the club looks to bounce straight back to the top tier.

The statement said: “Awaiting visa clearance and other clubs to complete paperwork then we will be in a position to announce more signings. Press releases written, photos taken. Hang on in there.”

It remains to be seen just who these new signings are, but they should add to the Centurions’ already impressive Championship squad as they look to contend with the likes of Featherstone for top spot in next year’s second tier.
