Leigh Leopards boss Adrian Lam has made two changes to his 21-man squad to take on Warrington Wolves this weekend. Leigh host the Wolves at Leigh Sports Village and they’ll be looking to build on last week’s comfortable win over Castleford Tigers at Wheldon Road.
The Leopards will be without star man Tesi Niu, though. The head coach confirmed earlier this week that the centre is struggling with a pec injury and could be looking at around four to six weeks on the sidelines.
That comes as a huge blow for the Leopards with Niu undoubtedly being one of Super League’s most impressive performers so far. Ethan O’Neill is fit enough to come back into the fray, though, and Lam has promised to give the forward all the time he needs to prove his fitness after missing last week’s game.
AJ Towse is the other man to come into the squad, while Louis Brogan drops out.
Warrington boss Sam Burgess has made two changes to his squad ahead of the short trip to Leigh. George Williams drops out of the side after picking up an ankle injury which requires surgery while James Harrison is also missing.
Oli Leyland comes into the fold despite being named in dual reg partners Widnes Vikings’ squad, too, for this weekend, while young half-back Ewan Irwin has also been named by Burgess. Irwin would be making his debut for the Wolves should the head coach look his way.
