Wakefield Trinity make the journey to Leigh Leopards in the first week of the Super League play-offs on Friday night. A spot in the play-off semi-finals is the prize and both sides know who they would be facing in the final four should they progress.
As the highest ranked team in the eliminators, Leigh would take on Wigan Warriors next week should they get past the challenge of Wakefield. Daryl Powell’s side would set up an all-Yorkshire clash against Hull KR should they progress, though, as the lowest ranked side remaining in the competition.
Wakefield and Leigh have beaten each other in their three meetings previously this season, and as with every play-off match, this one really could go either way.
Daryl Powell has made two changes to his Wakefield squad, with Max Jowitt being one of those to drop out. Jowitt picked up a head injury in the first couple of minutes last week against Salford Red Devils and went on to fail a HIA, ensuring he won’t be able to eligible to play this week.

Oliver Russell comes into the squad in his place, fresh from his loan stint at Huddersfield Giants where he made four appearances. Ellis Lingard also features in the squad with Noah High dropping out of the fold.
Adrian Lam has kept changes to a minimum this week, making just one alteration to his 21-man squad. That sees Edwin Ipape return to the fold after missing last week though suspension.
He takes the spot of AJ Towse, who is the only man to drop out of the fold this week.
