Hull KR boss Willie Peters has made a decision on who will be the man to replace Mikey Lewis in the Robins halves to face Leigh Leopards. Lewis misses the game through concussion protocols following a collision against Leeds Rhinos last week.
Danny Richardson is the man to replace him, as expected, with the half-back returning from his two-week loan spell at Salford Red Devils this week. Richardson has struggled for opportunities under Peters this season, making just three appearances for the Robins, with his last outing coming at Warrington Wolves in May.
However, he starts alongside Tyrone May at Leigh Sports Village this afternoon and he’s joined in the line-up by James Batchelor. The back-rower has been struggling with a throat injury and consequently has missed the last two games.
He starts in the back-row though with Jai Whitbread getting the nod on the other side. Dean Hadley is named on the bench, but notably there’s no Rhyse Martin and Peters will be asked to explain that absence after the game.
Leigh are unchanged against Rovers with Adrian Lam being able to stick with the same 17 that beat Wigan Warriors last time out. That means Josh Charnley gets another run out on the wing, while Bailey Hodgson is at full-back and Owen Trout is selected through the middle.
