Wigan Warriors host Leigh Leopards in an incredibly rare Tuesday night Super League game as the two play their rearranged fixture from Round Two.
The initial game had to be postponed so that Wigan Warriors could contest the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers with the Super League clash set aside for a later available date.
However, because Wigan went all the way to the final and would eventually win the Challenge Cup, a spare weekend to squeeze the game in on did not arise.
Last season, St Helens played their postponed fixture against Huddersfield Giants on the same weekend as the Challenge Cup Final but given Wigan’s involvement in that game, the same solution couldn’t work this season.
Back in June, the 6th of August was confirmed as the rearranged date for this game meaning that each side would play three games in just under a fortnight.
Both Wigan and Leigh played on Thursday evening and they will play on Saturday and Sunday in Round 21 respectively, to allow time for this rearranged game to be squeezed in.
The 21-man squads for both sides have now been confirmed.
Wigan Warriors Team News
Champions Wigan Warriors remain without star man Bevan French but their squad remains relatively unchanged from Thursday’s win over Huddersfield Giants.
Sam Eseh Jr, who is reported to have left on loan to Hull FC, is replaced by winger Jacob Douglas as the only change made by Matt Peet.
It means that Wigan will likely be able to play the exact same side that played on Thursday evening and were successful against Huddersfield.
They remain without stars French and O’Neill, who it was confirmed suffered a season-ending injury, meaning that Jack Farrimond and Kruise Leeming will feature in their places.

Leigh Leopards Team News
It had already been confirmed that Tom Amone would not feature after Leigh Leopards chose to stand the forward down under HIA protocols, despite him not failing a test during their win over St Helens.
Gareth O’Brien also remains out but could be replaced by new signing Bailey Hodgson who was named last week but did not debut.
There’s also a return for Matt Moylan who is another that could slot into the full-back role to replace O’Brien, or take his place in the halves alongside Lachlan Lam.
Zak Hardaker is named despite being dropped recently.
