Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont makes exciting Christmas statement as club prepares for big retail push

As part of Leigh Centurions exciting rebrand as the Leigh Leopards, the club started a fantastic membership scheme which has been in full force over the last few weeks as fans collected their memberships and jerseys from the stadium.

In an update on this and the circulation of Leigh’s new look shirt to fans, as a result of many of their members who weren’t requiring their shirts before Christmas and not collecting their packages, Leigh are able to now transport a number of replica shirts to the Retail Outlet where Gillian will be able to place them on general sale immediately so that they can be given as gifts.

Club Owner Derek Beaumont said: “I would like to thank all our staff, their friends and families for their dedication and commitment to compile these packages in such a short time and to ensure they could be collected; especially so close to Christmas.

“I know like myself most will now be running off to do their own Christmas shopping. It was great to see so many of our fans and get to chat to them. The positive comments made all the hard work so worthwhile for everyone. Thanks to those that dropped in chocolates, sandwiches, cakes and wine for everyone – it kept us going and was greatly appreciated.

“I would also like to thank Gareth and his team at LSV for making the Legends bar available and keeping us replenished with tea and coffee.

“Finally I would like to wish everyone an enjoyable Christmas and I look forward to seeing everyone in what we hope will be an amazing 2023!”
