Leigh Leopards have made the decision to change their 2023 home shirt after the fan response to the initial design.

The initial design, as part of the club’s rebrand from the red and white Leigh Centurions to the Leigh Leopards, the club reproduced a white home shirt – with none of the traditional red – with a picture of a leopard forming the base of the shirt.

Owner Derek Beaumont assured fans that the colour red would remain part of the club’s DNA, and promised that there was more to come.

Beaumont has also shared a number of alternate designs for the club’s new logo with subtle variations on the initial release.

Now the club has released a new home shirt for the 2023 Super League season as they return to the top flight.

The kit is essentially the same but now the Leopard as red eyes, there is red detailing around the shirt including the colour and sleeves whilst the kit is now complete with red shorts.

The shirt will have red numbers and red claw slashes in the back to create a much more striking kit and a jersey that speaks to the history of the club.
