Adrian Lam has provided an injury update after his Leigh Leopards side’s 24-6 victory over Warrington Wolves at Magic Weekend.
Lam’s side have now won eight of their last 10, and sit two points off the top six, something they will be hoping to break into come the end of the season.
In the win, Tesi Niu, David Armstrong, Edwin Ipape and Umyla Hanley scored tries, with Adam Cook kicking four from six conversions.
“We had a couple of niggly injuries in the game,” Lam said to the press post-match.
“Robbie Mulhern didn’t come back out for the second half of the game. [Joe] Ofahengaue got taken off as a precaution because of a calf with 30 to go.
“Tesi [Niu] came off with around 25-30 to go. We only had one player on the bench, and we had to try and rotate them.
“Isaac Liu got a bit of a niggly, was cramping up as well.”
To add to that, David Armstrong had a problem that left him unable to see out of his left eye, so the win certainly came at a cost for Lam’s troops.

Commenting on the game overall, the Leigh boss was asked if that showing was the best of the season so far. He replied: “Definitely. One that was needed as well.
“We’ve been working really hard as a group to get to this, and obviously with some bodies back in over the last couple of weeks, it’s been important that we build momentum.
“We had a loss against Hull KR a couple of weeks ago, and I think the last seven games, we’ve played away from home as well.
“It’s been a difficult two months, and we’ve only lost to Hull KR, so I think today was necessary if we wanted to progress into the top six at some point in the last 10 games.”
