Leigh Leopards land travel giants as kit sponsor for 2025

Leigh Leopards have announced travel giants Jet2 as their principal club partner for the 2025 season in a huge coup for the club.

Jet2 had previously been announced as the Super League side’s travel partner but this deal now ensures that they are the front-of-shirt sponsor as well.

The travel company, founded in 1978, comprises of Jet2.com which is the UK’s third-largest airline and Jet2holidays, the UK’s largest tour operator.

Leigh Leopards confirmed the partnership with the launch of a club statement confirming the massive partnership.

Club owner Derek Beaumont had unveiled the home shirt with all of their sponsors barring Jet2 in a video shared to the Leigh Leopards X page, as he teased the announcement of the travel giants as the main front-of-shirt sponsor.

The club statement confirmed: “Leigh Leopards announce Jet2 as Principal Club Partner for the 2025 Season.

“Jet2 comprises of Jet2.com, the UK’s third largest airline and Jet2holidays, the UK’s largest tour operator. The company’s distinctive logo will feature across Leigh Leopards’ home and away shirts, as well as their Magic Weekend kit.

“The partnership is a great way for Jet2 to strengthen connections with families and customers, as well as colleagues, right across the North West and beyond – with the Super League seeing record viewing figures and attendances last season.

“Today’s announcement follows Jet2 being announced as the Leigh Leopards Travel Partner for 2025 earlier this year. This agreement will see the 2023 Challenge Cup Winners travel with Jet2 for their fixture against Catalans Dragons in June, with fans able to choose flights with the award-winning company too.”

Leigh Leopards lock in huge sponsor for 2025

Leigh Leopards owner Derek Beaumont has now spoken on the deal, explaining: “This is a landmark sponsorship, not only for the club but the sport of rugby league, to be able to attract a brand of the significance of Jet2 that is not widely known in the sports sponsorship environment.

“It is a great fit for our family values and the fun friendly feel we create in the Leopards’ Den. We have worked really hard on our brand visibility through our rebrand, marketing and match-day experience, creating significant media attention with a fantastic story of rising from the Championship to a Challenge Cup winning and Super League semi-finalist team playing an entertaining brand of rugby league.”

Going further, he added: “It is fantastic that this hard work and success has attracted such a significant market leading brand to the club and I am immensely proud to see the Jet2 logo on our playing kits.

“As well as travelling with Jet2 for our fixture against Catalans we will travel with them for our warm weather camp in Lanzarote and I am sure that our loyal Famileigh will look to support the trust placed in our club by Jet2 by showing their loyalty when choosing their tour operator or airline.

“I am really looking forward to growing our relationship throughout the year with various activations to enhance our partnership.”
