Leigh Leopards hilariously trolled by Ryanair

Leigh Leopards

Leigh Leopards have headed over to Lanzarote for a pre-season training camp travelling via Ryanair.

On their way to the Island they had some difficulties and in response the Leopards’ kit suppliers Patrick Tweeted at Ryanair saying: “Hey Ryanair POV: Your team friendship is worth more than the seat fee, any package deals for the flight back?”

Ryanair simply trolled them in response remarking: “Blazin’ Squad reunion” in response to the image of the Leigh squad on the plane in full leopard print gear.

However, the Leopards responded in kind with a clever response of their own: “Hey Ryanair we’d like to Flip Reverse your tweet and thank you for accommodating us. After our original flight cancelled on us, we were at a real Crossroads, but you came through for The Leopards (Blazin) Squad!”

The Leopards are preparing for another big season in 2024 after winning the Challenge Cup in 2023.

Huddersfield Giants will be the visitors to the Leopards Den for the Round 1 game on Friday 16 February 2024 with an 8pm kick-off.

The Leopards achieved a Super League double over the Giants in the 2023 season and will be looking to get their campaign off to a flying start.

The club will be pulling together an entertainment events calendar to accompany our fixtures.

Details of a special opening event will celebrate the clubs success along with the fantastic achievements of local talents Tom Aspinall, Keeley Hodgkinson, Ella Toone, The Lottery Winners and Gemstones Cheer & Dance, which are being worked on and will be announced in due course.

Memberships remain on sale for what promises to be a fantastic season.

As owner Derek Beaumont said on the club’s website: “I have long said it’s easier for 3000 people to each convince one person to attend than one person to convince 3000 to attend so hopefully our fans can buy into that and each do their job in bringing someone to at least a couple of games.

“With the Red Card membership being available for 6 x £10 payments giving access to two games it’s a really affordable way of introducing a friend or family to the club as their Christmas present and who knows they may just get hooked on the sport. The worst you will have done is given them access to watch two good bands and be entertained with a great atmosphere. Like Adrian the players and the rest of the staff at the club I can’t wait to see the action get under way and hear that roar as the leopards take to the field in the den for the first encounter against the Giants.”
