Leigh Leopards confirm amazing pre-match entertainment for Super League opener as famous band takes to Leigh Sports Village

Leigh Leopards are back in Super League and are back with a bang in more ways than one.

They have made some of the biggest signings of the off-season such as Leeds Rhinos Grand Finalists Zak Hardaker and Tom Briscoe as well as Huddersfield Giants star Ricky Leutele.

But the biggest headline they made was the rebrand as Leigh Leopards after years as the Leigh Centurions.

This has come with an exciting new look kit too and boosted season ticket sales according to owner Derek Beamont.

Their return to Super League comes against Salford Red Devils on February 17th in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

They are hoping to avoid relegation for the first time in Super League after suffering that fate in 2005, 2017 and 2021 and a win would be the ideal start.

It will be an exciting start to the season and the Leopards have heaped another bucket load of excitement onto it by today confirming hit band Scouting For Girls will be performing at the game.

The band are responsible for hits like “She’s So Lovely”, “Heartbeat” and “Elvis ain’t Dead” and have performed at the Super League Grand Final in 2008 as Leeds Rhino beat St Helens.

The Rhinos are in action today at Leigh which is where this was announced.

It was 12-8 at halftime to the Rhinos.

The announcement had been teased all week with Leigh posting the likes of “she’s so loveLeigh” and it adds even more excitement to their return to Super League.
