Players from the newly-promoted Leigh Leopards have paid a festive visit to Patrick House to assist with wrapping gifts donated to Compassion in Action’s annual Christmas Toy Appeal.
Joe Wardle, Ben Reynolds, Zak Hardaker and Jacob Gannon were part of the team of volunteers who wrapped hundreds of presents that have been gifted by the charity’s valued partners, local businesses and the community of Leigh.
“I would like to thank Leigh Leopards and the club’s community who, year on year, donate so generously to our Christmas Toy Appeal,” said our CEO Pam Gilligan.
“Their compassion for our town’s most vulnerable families is especially appreciated during the current cost of living crisis affecting us all. I would also like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Joe, Ben, Zak and Jacob for taking time out to volunteer at our headquarters, and also to Superleigh Manager Christine Brown, who joined them during their visit. Together, we will make a difference in Leigh this Christmas.”
Additional valued volunteer support was gratefully received from our friends at AO, as well as from members of the community.
