Leigh Centurions halfback Jarrod Sammut has been given a four-match ban by the Disciplinary Tribunal.

This comes after he was sent-off last Sunday during the Centurions’ win over Halifax at Leigh Sports Village.

He was adjudged to have performed a spear tackle on Halifax’s Ed Barber.

The Maltese international ultimately pleaded guilty to a Grade D Dangerous Throw, and will also pay a £250 fine.
