Leigh boss Kurt Haggerty has revealed that Tyrone McCarthy is on the mend following his collision with Sitaleki Akauola in last week’s thrashing by Warrington.
The Warrington prop charged towards the Leigh line with McCarthy in his way, as the latter fell back concussed.
“I’ve touched base with Tyrone and we also spoke to his partner at the time who went to see him at the hospital,” Haggerty said.
“He is just starting to recover now and is just starting to come back into training to get checks on him but he is recovering well after a nasty incident.”
