Leigh fire sale begins as Wolves sign Bodene Thompson

Leigh Centurions’ sale of a number of their highest earners has started as Warrington Wolves have announced the signing of Bodene Thompson.

The 29-year-old, who made over 100 appearances in the NRL for three different clubs, was seen as a major coup for the Centurions.

However, a slow start to the season saw the Centurions playing catch-up and now they are looking to offload some of their stars – with more expected to follow Thompson out of the exit door in the coming days.

Club captain Harrison Hansen and Craig Hall have been linked with Widnes Vikings while Peter Mata’utia, who has been tracked by up to five Super League, looks to be on the way to Castleford Tigers.

Jordan Thompson is set to sign for Leeds Rhinos as they prepare for a Qualifiers campaign.
