Leigh fans urged to be watchful ahead of Perpignan trip

Following the terror attack in Barcelona yesterday, Leigh have urged their fans travelling to the game against Catalans to remain vigilant.

In another sad act of terror, 14 people were killed and many more injured when a van drove into a popular tourist area in Barcelona yesterday.

For many fans making the trip to Perpignan, Barcelona is a popular route and the Centurions have taken to their social media accounts to plead with supporters to stay safe.

“In light of the incidents in the Catalan region of Spain could all travelling Leythers please remain vigilant and stay safe,” Leigh said on their Twitter page.

There will be a minutes silence before the game tomorrow as a mark of respect for those that lost their lives in the attacks.
