Leigh Centurions vs Batley Bulldogs: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Super League awaits. Leigh Centurions and Batley Bulldogs are both 80 minutes away from the top tier as they meet in the Championship Grand Final, the Million Pound Game.

Leigh host the game having finished top only losing one league fixture all season and not losing since they only just came up short against Hull KR in the Challenge Cup. Since then, they’ve won the 1895 Cup, overtaken Featherstone at the top of the Championship, won the League Leaders’ Shield and eased their way to the Grand Final where they are overwhelming favourites.

They’re taking on the ultimate underdogs, the Bulldogs. One of the league’s lowest spenders, Batley defied the odds to make it to the semi-finals for a second year in a row, but now are 80 minutes away from Super League after shocking Featherstone last week. Can they go all the way?

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at Leigh Sports Village at 18:30.

TV coverage starts at 17:45 on Premier Sports 1.

Predicted Line-ups

Both sides have all 17 of their stars from last week’s semi-finals, so it could be a case of it ain’t broke don’t fix it for Adrian Lam and Craig Lingard except for some tactical switches. It’ll be interesting to see if both teams’ star hooker still starts on the bench in Championship Player of the Year Ed Ipape and Batley’s Alistair Leak. Leigh will likely have three halfbacks in the 17 as they did last week with Ben Reynolds on the bench. It’s likely that ex-Warrington and Wigan star Josh Charnley won’t feature.
