Leigh Centurions man Kieron Dixon referred to investigation following ‘unacceptable language’ charge

Following the latest round of fixtures outside of Super League, the following charges have been issued:

Lewis Camden – Bradford Bulls Reserves – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice

Jack Billington – Huddersfield Giants Reserves – Grade B Kicking – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Ewan Badham – West Wales Raiders – Grade B Shoulder Charge – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Matthew Wildie – Featherstone Rovers – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice

However, Kieran Dixon has also been referred for further investigation following an allegation of ‘unacceptable language’ in Rochdale Hornets’ fixture against Swinton Lions.

The fast-footed winger is, of course, on loan from Leigh Centurions, but it remains to be seen what kind of punishment he will get – if any at all.

In Super League, the following charges were handed out:

Mason Lino (Wakefield Trinity) – Grade B High Tackle – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Josh Griffin (Hull FC) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Morgan Knowles (St Helens) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
James Bell (St Helens) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Andrew Dixon (Toulouse) – Grade A Trip – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Thomas Leuluai (Wigan) – Grade A Dangerous Contact – 0 Match Penalty Notice
Tim Lafai (Salford) – Grade B Other Contrary Behaviour – 1 Match Penalty Notice

After being contacted by Serious About Rugby League, an RFL spokesperson revealed that no team is set to appeal their bans or charges so Mason Lino’s, James Bell’s and Tim Lafai’s bans will come into force next weekend.

Meanwhile, it’s another kick in the teeth for Featherstone following their big defeat to Leigh on Monday live on Premier Sports.
